  • Have we established a person or committee to manage security issues?

  • Have we allocated funds to train personnel or committee members for security safeguards?

  • Are church members and church infrastructure secure at all times?

  • Do we have policies and procedures in place to help manage security and safety risks?

  • Has a security assessment been completed by a certified security assessment specialist?

  • Do we complete background checks and require references for staff and volunteers who have contact with minors?

  • Do we have an emergency response plan and has it been tested?

  • Have staff members been trained on all emergencies, to include active shooters, tornados, inclement weather, earthquakes and others?

  • Have we implemented an emergency response training portal for church members? 

  • Do we have emergency alert systems in place?
